La Liga de Futsal de Costa Rica (LIFUTSAL) brilló con luz propia en los XII Juegos Centroamericanos Guatemala 2025, al consolidarse como la liga con mayor cantidad de atletas y medallas en la disciplina del futsal.
Las 14 preseas plateadas logradas por la Selección Nacional de Costa Rica se distribuyeron entre seis clubes.El campeón Hatillo fue el equipo que más aportó al combinado patrio con seis futbolistas: Danny Vásquez, Víctor Fonseca, Luis Carlos Navarrete, Yosel León, Carlos Mairena y Dylan Méndez, quienes se bañaron en plata en Ciudad de Guatemala.
Desamparados Borussia fue el segundo club con más convocados, con tres representantes: César Vargas, Edwin Cubillo y Uziel Arrieta.
También integraron la nómina nacional Jean Carlo Salas y Diego Chavarría (Sporting FC), Daniel Gómez y Josué Rojas (Orotina), y Enmanuel Gamboa (Paraíso), completando así la lista de jugadores que subieron al podio.
Gallos de oro
Corredores también celebró en grande gracias a su tridente panameño: José Yearwood, goleador de la Liga Premier, junto a Luis Vásquez y Aquiles Campos, quienes conquistaron la medalla de oro en el Domo Polideportivo de Guatemala.
Por su parte, Jeimy Urroz, guardameta de Guanacaste en la Primera A Femenina, obtuvo la medalla de bronce con la selección de Nicaragua, completando los 18 atletas ligueros que se subieron al podio centroamericano.
Con estos resultados, LIFUTSAL reafirma su liderazgo regional, siendo la liga centroamericana con más atletas convocados y más medallas obtenidas en los XII Juegos Centroamericanos Guatemala 2025, que bajaron el telón este jueves 30 de octubre.
